Frejya — End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of the Frejya mobile application (“Application” or “Service”) provided by Müjdat TELLİ (hereinafter “we” or “Service Provider”).

By downloading and using the Application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept all terms of this Agreement. If you do not accept, please do not use the Application.

1. Description of Service

Frejya is a social and dating application designed for adults aged 18 and over, based on a “slow dating” philosophy. The Service offers:

Profile creation and matching (gender and year of birth cannot be changed after registration)
A scratch mechanic that gradually unlocks privately stored photos via mutual word exchange
Genuinely end-to-end encrypted (E2EE — NaCl/Curve25519) private messaging — the private key lives only on your device; resetting/changing your password may render old messages unreadable
Voice-pitch masked voice introductions (optional)
Frejya Aura symbolic social feed
Doorbell system for limited first contact
AI profile photo verification (real human / face / 18+ / gender / NSFW checks)

The Service is distributed via Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

2. Account Creation and Age Requirement

2.1. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Frejya. You declare your age during registration. False declarations will result in immediate and permanent deletion of your account.

2.2. Truthful Information

You must use your own real photograph in your profile. The AI review system rejects fake / third-party / animal / illustration photos.
You are responsible for the accuracy and currency of your username, biography, and other profile information.
One person may only create one account. Multiple accounts (fake / sybil) detected will result in permanent closure of all accounts.

2.3. Account Security

Do not share your password with anyone. The password is stored on our servers with bcrypt + salt; even we cannot read it.
You are responsible for all activities conducted from your account.
If you suspect unauthorized access, immediately notify iletisim@frejya.app.

3. Acceptable Use

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

3.1. Content and Behavior Prohibitions

Sharing sexual content (nudity, suggestive poses) in photos, video, or text,
Content targeting or involving persons under 18 — such cases will be reported to authorities immediately,
Messaging containing violence, harassment, hate speech, discrimination,
Spam, advertising, commercial marketing messages,
Fake profiles, use of someone else’s photo, celebrity impersonation,
Fraud attempts (crypto, investment, “send money” schemes),
Pressuring for personal information (bank info, home address, nude photos),
Blackmail, threats, suicide / self-harm threats,
Copyright infringement (using others’ photos, music, etc.).

3.2. System Manipulation

Reverse-engineering the Application, stealing source code, or using automated bots,
Manipulating the matching algorithm with fake interactions,
Unauthorized API use or exceeding rate limits,
Mass-blocking other users to skew search results.

3.3. Legal Compliance

Any content or behavior violating the laws of the Republic of Turkey is prohibited,
Provisions of Law No. 5651, KVKK Law No. 6698, and the Turkish Penal Code apply.

4. Consequences of Violations

The following sanctions apply to users who violate these rules:

Sexual / illegal content	Immediate permanent ban + reported to authorities

Fake profile / identity theft	Immediate permanent ban
Fraud attempt	Immediate permanent ban + reported to authorities

Banned users may not create a new account with the same email / phone / device ID.

5. Content Rights

5.1. Your Content

Your profile photo, biography, messages, and social feed posts are your property.
Frejya uses this content only to provide the Service (storage, display, matching) under a limited, royalty-free, revocable license.
When you delete your account, your content is deleted immediately; the account record is kept anonymous for 15 days, then permanently erased. The action cannot be undone.

5.2. Frejya’s Content

The Application itself, logo, animal icon SVGs, hieroglyph keyboard symbols, and scratch system design are the property of Müjdat TELLİ.
You may not copy, distribute, or sell this content.

You grant explicit consent for your profile photo to be automatically reviewed for content appropriateness by AI systems (Google Gemini, Groq). This process is conducted anonymously (without user identity). Details: Privacy Policy §3.

5.4. Voice Message Lifespan

Voice messages sent inside chats are retained for 15 days for your privacy; after this period an automated job permanently deletes them from our servers. The chat window then shows a “Voice message expired” label and the message can no longer be played. Text and image messages are not affected by this limit (they remain until the chat ends).

6. Premium Subscription (Frejya Premium)

The Service is currently entirely free. Premium features may be offered for a fee in the future; in that case:

Prices will be clearly displayed in the app,
Purchases will be made via Apple App Store / Google Play,
Refund policies are subject to the rules of the relevant store,
Auto-renewal, if requested, may be cancelled at any time.

7. Service Availability

The Service is provided “as is”. Continuity, error-free operation, or any specific outcome is not guaranteed.
The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, software updates, or technical issues.
We may be forced to suspend the Service due to legal obligation, force majeure (earthquake, war, pandemic, government order), or infrastructure provider issues (Supabase, Apple, Google).

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. User-to-User Interactions

Frejya is only a platform; it is not responsible for communication between users, meetings, or real-world outcomes.
Exercise reasonable caution before trusting other users. Do not give personal information, bank details, or nude photos to people you have not met.
Hold first meetings in public places and notify someone you trust.

8.2. AI Review Errors

Profile photo AI review is not 100% accurate. You may request manual review for erroneously rejected photos (after 5 attempt limits write to iletisim@frejya.app).

8.3. Legal Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Müjdat TELLİ is not liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,
Damages caused by user content (shared by third parties),
Outages caused by third-party providers (Supabase, Apple, Google, Gemini, Groq),
Damages arising from social interactions, meetings, or disputes between users.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Frejya in the last 12 months (if any); if the Service is free, liability is zero.

9. Account Termination

9.1. Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time via the “Delete My Account” button in the app.
Your data (profile, photos, messages, posts) is deleted immediately and irreversibly.
The account record is marked deleted for 15 days, kept only at UUID level anonymously (for fraud / legal notice review).
After 15 days, an automated job permanently deletes the account record and the auth.users entry — no trace remains on Frejya.
During these 15 days you cannot re-register with the same email; after that you are free to.

Ending a chat ≠ deleting your account: When you end a chat, messages are archived encrypted for 15 days (not shown to you) for potential forensic/legal evidence, then permanently deleted. When ending a chat you may optionally permanently block the other person (“End & block”); if you do not block them, no automatic block is applied.

9.2. Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate your account in the following cases:

Breach of this Agreement,
Evidenced complaints from other users,
Legal / court order,
No login for more than 12 months (dormant accounts).

10. Apple App Store Additional Terms

For the iOS version, the following Apple-mandated additional terms apply:

This Agreement is between Müjdat TELLİ and you (the User); Apple is not a party to this Agreement.
Müjdat TELLİ alone is responsible for the quality, performance, and suitability of Frejya; Apple has no maintenance or support obligation.
In case of warranty breach, Apple may issue a refund; further claims shall be directed to Müjdat TELLİ.
If a claim is made that the Application infringes third-party rights, responsibility lies solely with Müjdat TELLİ.
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement and may enforce the Agreement against you.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices are competent for disputes arising from this Agreement.
Your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees or consumer courts in your place of residence by virtue of your consumer status is reserved.

12. Amendments

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Changes will be notified via:

In-app notification,
Email (to your registered email address),
The current version will be published at https://mujdattelli.github.io/frejya-legal/legal/eula.en.html.

Continuing to use the Application after material changes constitutes your acceptance of the new version. If you do not accept, you may delete your account.
